Updates on Oct 9, 2020: Uber will be issued a new license to regain operation in London after a judge found Uber “fit and proper” to appeal against a Transport ban in London.

But the renewal for this license is considerately short—only for 18 months—compared to the five-year renewal back in 2017.

Updates on Sept 14, 2020: Uber announced that users in the UK will be available to rent cars via Uber in a partnership with car rental company CarTrawler.

Subscribers will also get 5% off of their Uber Eat deliveries over $15 and free delivery (The Verge).

Operations in California will be completely ceased on August 20th.
