How does CovPass protect my data?

• All your data is locally stored on your mobile device,
• Due to data economy laws in the EU, only your name, date of birth, and status of your COVID certificate will be displayed on the app,
• Every QR code is protected with cryptographic security and is impossible to forge,
• You don't have to register an account with an email to use the app.

The app requires you to scan your EU vaccination certificate. You can find the related QR codes on the paper documentation of either a vaccination, a negative test result, or a certificate of recovery.
